RACISM IS ALIVE! POLICE BRUTALITY IS REAL! BLACK LIVES MATTER!
Ok! Enough is enough. I am so sick and tired of turning on the TV and seeing the same bullsh*t. Aren’t we all Americans? So why aren’t we all treated the same? Police brutality is getting out of hand, and black people are dying by the hands of the same people that are supposed to protect us. How can anyone kill an innocent man? I had to watch a 15-year-old boy cry over his father on national television. A family left to plan a funeral for a man who left behind five beautiful children. We have asked for justice and equality for years. How many times do we have to ask? Why do we have to ask?
With my thoughts out let’s get into the story. Sterling was the father of five. He was also known as the cd man. He would sell DVDs outside a convenience store which is also the place where he was shot and killed. Two white officers arrived at Triple S Food Mart after responding to a call about an armed man. The killing was recorded for the world to see. It has been broadcasted on the news and all over social media.
Abdullah Muflahi, the owner of the convenience store, stated he saw the police officers slam Alton Sterling on a vehicle. Abdullah adds that the officers tasered Sterling before shooting him. The officers got on top of him, and one of them ordered Alton not to move. Then one officer yelled “gun” and Alton was shot, said Muflahi. How do you shoot someone even after you have them pinned down?
Below is the video of Abdullah Muflahi giving his account of the shooting.
The store owner has known Alton for six years and says he has never seen him have a confrontation with another individual. Abdullah made it very clear that Sterling did not know why the police were arresting him and never showed a weapon.
Autopsy shows the cause of death is multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and back. The shooting of Sterling has prompted protests in the Louisiana capital. Celebrities such as Jesse Williams and Zendaya reacted to the shooting of Alton Sterling be lending their voices to Twitter.
The mother of one Sterling’s children, Quinyetta McMillion cried as she discussed the shooting. Her 15-year-old son stood next to her and sobbed.
“The individuals involved in his murder took away a man with children who depended upon their daddy on a daily basis.” This story gets more heart wrenching. Below is the son of Alton Sterling, Cameron Sterling crying out for his father.
