T.I. spreads holiday cheer in Atlanta on December 22 by handing out gifts to kids of parents who are incarcerated.
During an interview with 11 Alive, T.I. discussed that he can relate to those who are unable to be with their children and families during the holidays. There was a point in his career where he spent months in prison over weapon charges.
“I know how it feels to not be able to spend Christmas with your kids, and maybe even for them, to be in the position to do as much for your children because of circumstances. Everybody needs a little help sometimes, so I’m going to come and do what I can for those who need it the most,” he said.
T.I. broadcasted the festivities via the Instagram live feature.
T.I. also gave words of advice to those in need of optimism during the holidays.
“Continue to take it a day at a time. Don’t try to do too much too fast, and don’t be frustrated for not being able to do too much too fast. Just make sure your tomorrow’s are better than yesterday,” he said.
Great Job T.I.!
