Donald Glover (Childish Gambino) was awarded his first Golden Globe for his show Atlanta on Sunday, January 8.
Glover won in the category of Best Television Series-Musical or Comedy. He also won the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series-Musical or Comedy. Atlanta is set to return for a second season and beat out Transparent, Black-ish, Veep and Mozart in the Jungle.
Glover gave special thanks to Atlanta’s very own Migos during his acceptance speech for their hit record “Bad and Boujee.”
“I’d like to thank the Migos — not for being on the show, but for making ‘’Bad and Boujee.’’ Like, that’s the best song … ever,” he said.
