The murders of Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur remain somewhat of a mystery today. There have been speculations for both parties, but no one knows exactly who killed two of hip-hop’s greatest rappers.
However, USA Network’s crime drama, “Unsolved” plans to shed some light on the major police investigations for both artists.
According to Variety, actor Marcc Rose has been cast to play the role of Tupac Shakur and Wavyy Jonez will play Biggie Smalls.
Actors Jimmi Simpson, Bokeem Woodbine, and Josh Duhamel has been cast in the episode to portray three police officers who were important players while working the unsolved cases.
LAPD Detective Greg Kading saw several law-enforcement task forces investigating the murders of Tupac & Biggie. He also wrote Murder Rap: The Untold Story of Biggie Smalls & Tupac Shakur Murder Investigations, which was made into a movie. The crime show will pull material from the book as a source. Kading will be a consultant on the pilot and a co-executive producer.
“Unsolved” continues the many discussions about the deaths of Biggie and Tupac.
Tupac Shakur died at the age of 25 in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas in September 1996. Biggie was fatally shot at the age of 24-years-old in March 1997. A date has not been set for the hour-long premiere as of yet.
