According to Pitchfork, Beyoncé launched her own fundraising initiative for Hurricane Harvey relief on her website. Her BeGOOD Foundation is working with two organizations to provide relief. Her website encourages people to donate to both Bread of Life and the Greater Houston Community Foundation.
Bey has reportedly already made a private donation to relief efforts.
“My heart goes out to my hometown, Houston, and I remain in constant prayer for those affected and for the rescuers who have been so brave and determined to do so much to help,” Beyoncé said in a statement to the Houston Chronicle.
“I am working closely with my team at BeyGOOD as well as my pastor [Rudy Rasmus at St. John’s in downtown Houston] to implement a plan to help as many as we can,” she adds.
The BeyGOOD Foundation was established in 2013 to deliver humanitarian aid to places in need around the world. BeyGOOD has provided suitable drinking water to places like Flint, Michigan, and Burundi in Eastern Africa.
Beyoncé also posted an Instagram photo tribute to Texas.
