Offset is officially a free man, for now. On Friday, July 20, the Migos member was arrested. The rapper was pulled over in Clayton County, Ga. for an illegal lane change. Officers searched the white 2014 Porsche Carrera the MC was in and found a handgun and marijuana.
Offset was taken into custody and charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a weapon during an unlawful act, possession of marijuana, and making an improper lane change. Offset’s first two charges are felonies.
According to police records, Offset was released from jail Saturday, July 21 around 10 a.m.
The gun discovery is terrible news to the Atlanta rapper, who is a convicted felon and isn’t allowed to carry any firearms. When Offset pled to no contest for a riot in a penal institution back in 2015 as part of his deal with prosecutors, the Migos member received his third felony. Under Georgia’s three strikes rule, he could spend the rest of his life in prison if he gets another conviction.
In 2015, officers pulled the Migos tour bus over and found weed, guns, and codeine. The deal Offset made with prosecutors meant that his gun and drug charges were dismissed in exchange for pleading no contest to the jailhouse riot. Takeoff and Quavo also received deals as part of the case.
According to court records, Offest also has convictions for burglary and theft.
Even though Offset could face life in prison, Migos member, Quavo took to Twitter to celebrate his bandmate being home.

Cardi B also expressed excitement of her husband being released from jail. She posted a photo with Offset on her Instagram story. The two recently welcomed a baby girl, Kulture Kiari Cephus on July 10.
On her Instagram story, Cardi B denies that her husband is on probation at this time. Also, The Mark Hotel sued Cardi B and Offset for an alleged assault of a fan at the 2018 Met Gala.
