After Frank Ocean had dropped his anticipated LP Blonde, the singer had social media popping for the fact the singer’s new music was missing from the spotlight for four years.
Blonde reached 275,616 album equivalent units which led the singer to the #1 spot on Billboard’s Top 200 albums chart. It was reported that Blonde was an independent release. The album was streamed over 65 million times as an Apple Music exclusive. According to HipHopdx, the numbers make Blonde the highest selling debut album this year behind Beyoncé’s Lemonade album and Drake’s VIEWS. Blonde is the third independent album to land at the #1 spot.
