CeeSoDope readers it’s finally here! Lil Wayne has finally dropped his anticipated album, Tha Carter V on Friday, Sep.28. The album comes the day after the rapper turns 36-years-old.
While the release of Tha Carter V is exciting for the die-hard hip-hop and Weezy fans, the road to release has been shaky.
Wayne was in a lawsuit with Cash Money Records fighting for creative control. The suit eventually came to a settlement for an undisclosed amount between Cash Money Records, Universal Music Group, and Lil Wayne in June.
The New Orleans native is now the sole proprietor of Young Money Entertainment. Tha Carter V release is a celebration after all Tunechi had to go through with the lawsuit. The album features dope artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, his daughter, Reginae Carter, and more.

Lil Wayne’s lyrics should be taught in English classes for students to learn onomatopoeia, alliteration, similes, symbolism, hyperbole, personification, and metaphors. #ThaCarterV

Tha Carter V sounds like it’s from 2008 and 2018 simultaneously. Lil Wayne took his time creating this masterpiece
